I HAVE A FULL DRAFT OF PAPER NUMBER TWO!
This draft is fuller than paper number one, it is not missing any elements (well, save for some footnotes/endnotes and the bibliography). It may need to be reworked, but I did some reworking of at least the first half as I went along. What I was most worried about with this paper was that it was supposed to be rather short (only approximately 12 double spaced pages, approximately 3500 words). I’m about two pages over, I think, nearly 1,000 words over. I thought it would be MUCH worse, so… not too worried anymore.
The syllabus for this class says the prof is willing to look at drafts so I sent mine to him. He’s been super helpful already so I’m not holding my breath that he’ll feel compelled to review a full draft by Friday and give me feedback- it would be in his character to do so, but I feel I’ve already received more than my share of help. Perhaps getting a draft done so early (the official due date, for the paper, is December 15th so I’m just under a month early with this) will work to my advantage in terms of his available time. But even if he can’t get back to me, I feel pretty good about it- much better than I do about Saturday’s draft. And I think I can revise it on my own on Friday or Saturday and feel comfortable enough turning it in.
So nine hours after getting out of bed, with several breaks interspersed throughout, I can say two out of three drafts are done! And I can get back into bed!!!! I can rest the rest of the day!!!!! WOOHOO!!!!
Thank you all for hanging in there with me as I ride this roller coaster!
And thank you, thank you, thank you God for always coming through, always.
* My apologies if the subject is offensive to any. These were the words in my head that jumped out of my fingers!
