- Quick, Easy, Flourless, Agave Sweetened, TASTY, Peanut Butter Cookies- It took some digging through comments on on-line recipes to find what I was looking for, but I found it deep in the comments of this post and threw a small batch (just eight small cookies) of these today. All in all about a 25 minute process to a light, airy, sweet (but not too) bit of goodness. If only there were milk in the house… but love them anyhow.
- When Ancient Writing is Engaging- I spent the morning with Cyprian’s letter 55, and found myself chuckling at times, and generally thoroughly enjoying what I was reading. This letter is 1700 years old- give or take several years and I find it fresh and engaging. Love that!
- Getting Back to the Garden- About an hour of heavy duty weeding this evening. I think I watered the garden with my sweat. Much more to be done, but the zucchini plant (which appears to be producing well) and the bean plants have been freed from the massive weeds all around them. The tomato plants are doing great! Some of the baby tomatoes are nearly ready! And there are some good sized green tomatoes on the big tomato plants. We need to get some trellises, if it’s not too late, these are big, heavy plants. And the corn, WOW! Some of the plants are nearly 6 feet tall! It is overwhelming to work for an hour, hard, and still have so much more to do, but it is gratifying as well. I LOVE this garden. But… I think I’ve said that a lot.
- Finding Tasty, New, Locally Made Food- Today a salsa that the maker of assured us was “change your life” salsa (she was a vendor at our neighborhood Farmers Market). I don’t know if it is “change your life”, but I LOVE it and love that we had extra grocery money at the end of this month to be able to support this budding entrepreneur working with her husband’s grandma’s recipe.
