- The Little Old Lady With a Bag Full of Sweet Bread- She seemingly appeared out of nowhere, bag in hand, as I greeted folks in the narthex after church yesterday. “I have lemonade bread, pumpkin cranberry bread, [some other kind of sweet bread the sleepy pastor didn’t catch]- which would you like?” Well, I figured they all had wheat and refined sugar, but we were heading to someone else’s house for lunch so we could share and how could I say no. I went for the pumpkin cranberry. “That’s Pastor Mark’s favorite!” She declared with a grin! I tried just a bit of it after lunch and yum! I see why it is his favorite! I hope Sam and family enjoy! I LOVE such surprising acts of kindness and generosity.
- Actual Prints of Pictures- I’ve never been great about getting pictures developed, but now that I have iPhoto and can browse through pics on the computer or iPod so easily, my motivation for getting around to printing photos is low. But I love the feel of printed photos in the hand. I love flipping through them. Love it.
- Hearing Kev Cry Out “GOOD GIRL!” and Knowing Something Big Has Happened- SHE CRAWLED! Or so he says. I didn’t see it. I saw hints of it, but not it. Yesterday all of us saw her pull up into a stand for the first time, but today daddy had the privilege of witnessing the first crawl. We’re babysitting Fiona (about 5 weeks older than Caroline) all day tomorrow. She is quite the crawler- I suspect I’ll get to see Caroline do it tomorrow. I love the delight in our voices and her face at such accomplishment.
